Sustainability
A sustainability team is active within ZON, with people from different departments at ZON, in order to bring together knowledge and skills from different areas of expertise
ZON aims for the sustainable use of energy, resources, assets, and materials. Sustainability is reflected in environmentally friendly packaging and biological crop protection among our growers. Within the sustainability team, attention is given to topics such as packaging goals outlined in SIFAV 2025, action points to meet the targeted 50% CO2 reduction, grower interviews, and support regarding certifications such as PlanetProof and GlobalGAP. ZON formulates its own objectives based on a "sustainability roadmap" to meet market demands and respond to consumer needs.
Annual CO2 emissions
As a company, ZON will measure CO2 emissions annually from 2019 and set action points to reduce the footprint.
We believe that sustainably grown fruit and vegetables guarantee food with a good feeling. For example, our growers do everything they can every day to become more sustainable, for example:

All innovation processes that ZON carries out with its growers are in conformity with the applicable objectives regarding packaging and other sustainability aspects in order to be able to market a future-proof new product or variety. ZON also regularly supports local and regional initiatives through sponsorship, often in the form of product sponsorship.
CSR Quality Mark
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
For the first time, ZON complied with the CSR Quality Mark (ISO 26000) in October 2023 where the emphasis is on People, Planet and Profit. This Quality Mark proves that a company verifiably works on its CSR. The certificate is being recognised and accredited by more and more organisations, customers, sector organisations and authorities. ZON wishes to be forward-thinking with this on the market, in the supply chain and regarding the increasing importance of CSR.
