A cross between string beans and green beans
Neckar beans, also called bacon beans, come in green, yellow and purple. The pods are at least as long as string beans, but as firm and round as green beans. The color can vary: usually green, but yellow and even purple neck beans are also offered. The taste is similar to that of green beans, but slightly more intense and slightly sweeter.
